What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing practice where the Reiki Practitioner encourages the flow of energy through her hands to the receiver/client. The Japanese word “Reiki” is composed of two words: “Rei” can be interpreted as “higher/universal intelligence” and “Ki” meaning “life force energy“
How does it help?
Reiki helps to restore balance to the body by clearing blocked energy in the body. Reiki often provides deep relaxation and a feeling of well-being. It works not only on the physical level of functioning, but on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels as well.
Where is it used?
Reiki is used in hospitals across the United States to help patients with pain management and is becoming nearly as mainstream as the practice of Acupuncture. Reiki can be done via distance as well if sent by a qualified Reiki Level II Practitioner or Reiki Level III/Reiki Master.
